Detailed Itinerary
Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to see the HOTTEST new quilt show in the USA! And, with the convenience of a hotel with a direct skywalk to the show, you can take classes to your heart’s content!

Day 1 - My Kind of Town
You’ll arrive at Chicago’s O’Hare airport where complimentary transfer service is available to our nearby hotel. Here you can unpack and relax for your leisurely 5-day stay. Throughout it you’ll enjoy the hotel’s many amenities, including a delightful indoor swimming pool. Best of all, our hotel has an enclosed skybridge directly to the quilt show!

This evening you’ll meet your traveling companions and tour director at our fun-filled Welcome Meeting.

Day 2 - Patterns, & Patchworks
Our exciting day kicks off with a lively tour of the Windy City (where it’s not really windy at all, just nicknamed for long-winded politicians). We’ll get the latest scoop on Chicago’s most famous--from Al Capone to Oprah Winfrey, from fabled speakeasys to fabulous apartments. Our panoramic tour of Chicago’s dazzling architecture includes such highlights as the Wrigley Building, modeled after a cathedral in Spain, a water tower resembling a Gothic castle, an old-fashioned Ferris wheel on the boardwalk of Navy Pier, and artistic creations by Frank Lloyd Wright, Picasso, and Chagall. There’s so much to see in this sparkling city by the water.

Of course, visiting Chicago would not be complete without sampling their famous food, so get ready for a fun-filled lunch at one of their legendary eateries.

This afternoon we visit the areas most popular quilt shop. You’ll love the shopping here where room after room is bursting with fabrics of every description, lots of one-of-a-kind patterns, quilt kits, cross-stitch supplies, and embellishments galore. Whatever it is you’ve been looking for or dreaming about, you can bet on finding it…and a whole lot more. And what could be more fun than sharing a day’s worth of fabric shopping with a coach full of quilters on the journey back to our hotel! (Lunch)

Day 3 & 4- I'm Show Excited!
Imagine the excitement of visiting the International Quilt Festival – Chicago each day at your own convenience! You’ll love our accommodations for their quick and easy
accessibility. A quick walk across the skyway and you’re there!

Brought to you by the same company that produces the International Quilt Show in Houston, Texas (one of the largest shows in the world), this new spring festival also incorporates the “Embellishment Show” with its special exhibits, supplies, and classes for everyone who enjoys buttons, beads, jewelry, and more. Of course this is in addition to the dazzling displays of prize winning and collectable quilts and wearable art.

Shopping, as usual, is a not-for-quilters-only, international celebration! Hundreds of merchant booths offer quilters, crafters, and collectors an opportunity to shop for unique products from the four corners of the world. In addition to fabrics and notions, you'll discover: antiques, books, yarn and fiber materials, antique jewelry, ribbons, buttons and trims, antique sewing notions, wearable art, supplies for needlework...and so much more. And we'll help you maximize your visit with our inside tips and helpful hints.

Day 5 - Show & Go
Once again you can personalize your day any way you choose. Your admission to the show today is included, and you can depart anytime using the convenient transfer service to O’Hare Airport.

Perhaps you’ll start your day with a visit to the show, where viewing the quilts and shopping at the merchants mall is far easier as the crowds begin to dwindle. And if you’ve been too busy to enjoy the hotel’s many amenities, now is the perfect time for a little last-minute self-indulgence.

We know you’ll treasure the magic memories of this unforgettable getaway, so don’t delay. Reserve your seat now because this new tour will fill quickly.
