Detailed Itinerary
If you’ve dreamed of seeing a legendary AQS Quilt Show production, don’t wait to sign-up for this brand new tour…there will never be a better time or PRICE!

Day 1 - Arriving In Style!
You’ll arrive at Nashville airport at your leisure today, where convenient transfer service is available to the Opryland Hotel . Shortly after leaving the you’ll enter a well-manicured, circular drive where a spectacular 15-story glass-domed conservatory welcomes you to the opulent Opryland Hotel.. Here you can unpack and relax for your leisurely 5-day stay.

Throughout your stay you’ll enjoy the hotel’s extravagant amenities. You’ll meander through a four-acre, indoor conservatory resembling a tropical rainforest, with footpaths and bridges winding their way through thousands of tropical plants, palm trees, and water gardens. You’ll discover revolving cafes, unique shops, waterfalls, and swimming pools that are nestled among the gardens.

Our Welcome Meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. allowing for a convenient arrival time and dinner on your own.

Day 2 - Quilt Heaven
Today Quilt City U.S.A. joins Music City U.S.A. as the American Quilter’s Society celebrates the gala opening of the AQS Quilt Exposition -right in our hotel! You’ll have the opportunity to see the show and take classes throughout our stay here.

Perhaps you’ll begin your visit to the show by viewing the hundreds of quilts beautifully displayed throughout the Exposition. Or maybe you’ll get a “head-start” on shopping at the giant merchants mall. Within the merchants mall you’ll discover a myriad of booths offering the latest quilting supplies, new and antique quilts, buttons and trims, patterns, books, and much more. And because our accommodations are conveniently located right here at the show, you can shop, snooze, snack, or swim, at your own pace.

Day 3 - Patchwork Pizzazz
Imagine awakening at your leisure, knowing that one of the most exciting quilt shows in the world is happening just a few steps from your room!

Perhaps you’ve signed up for workshop today. Or maybe you’ll spend time viewing the dazzling array of quilts on display. And of course there is never enough time to shop at the vendors mall where there is so much to discover.

At Opryland Hotel you’ll find a seemingly endless variety of dining and entertainment choices available throughout your stay. Enjoy savory dining at one of the waterside restaurants, or select a lite bite at one of the themed island eateries, or kick back and relax to the sounds of live music and a few munchies at one of the colorful cafes.

As a grand finale today, be sure to visit the 15-story glass domed conservatory where dancing water fountains sway in sync with the music.

Day 4 - Paducah-Quilt City U.S.A.
A journey to this part of the countryside would not be complete without visiting the legendary city of Paducah, Kentucky - “Quilt City U.S.A.” We’ll board our private motorcoach this morning, where excitement abounds and the lively conversation within our group resembles a traveling quilting-bee! Someone has found a great buy at the show, someone else is sharing a new technique, many are working on quilt projects, and everyone shares the joy of new-found quilt friends. Before you know it we’ve arrived in Paducah.

Our first stop will be the Museum of the American Quilt Society. This 30,000 square foot building houses three climate-controlled galleries showcasing over 200 quilts, and is the largest museum of its kind in the world! You’ll also want to visit the gift and bookshop for a special selection of quilting keepsakes.

Later today we’ll visit the legendary Hancock Fabrics of Paducah. Advertising “the world’s largest selection of fabric” this immense building is brimming with sale tables piled high with remnants, and walls lined with hundreds of bolts of fabric, and a never-ending supply of notions tucked here, there, and everywhere.

Our fun, Farewell Lunch promises to be filled with news
of exciting purchases and fond memories of our day
in Paducah. (Lunch)

Day 5 - Fabrics And Farewells
Once again, you’ll have the opportunity to personalize your day.

Perhaps you’ll start your day with a visit to the show, where viewing the quilts and shopping at the merchants mall is far easier as the crowds begin to dwindle.

If you’ve been too busy to enjoy the hotel’s many amenities, now is the perfect time to see the sites. Step aboard a water taxi for a leisurely ride along the landscaped banks of the indoor conservatory. Or shop from among the many distinctive boutiques in the hotel’s lush atrium. Enjoy a dip in the pool, or visit the beauty parlor or gym, or simply relax by a tumbling waterfall and savor the views…there is so much to see and do at the Opryland Hotel.
