DAY 1 Arrive Providence – Tour Begins

Embark on an exciting adventure as you arrive in Providence and explore the city on your own. Our hotel is in the heart of historic “Downcity,” the perfect starting point. Soak up the local atmosphere and architecture as you stroll through the vibrant streets. Tonight, you’ll meet your Tour Manager and fellow travelers at the Welcome Meeting.

 

DAY 2 Providence

Begin your New England escape learning the heritage of textile manufacturing at the Museum of Work and Culture, then savor free time for lunch on Federal Hill, Providence’s famous Italian neighborhood of cafés and markets. Next, browse shelves of luscious quilting cottons at Blackstone Quilting Co. Later, enjoy a panoramic city tour of Providence highlighting the city’s 19th-century mercantile buildings in the Federal and Victorian architectural styles. Your evening at leisure lets you explore the city’s southern waterfront that forms the hub of festivals and summer social gatherings. B

 

DAY 3 Providence – Newport – Cape Cod

Departing Providence for Newport, we travel along the Narraganset Bay relishing the magnificent 10-mile Ocean Drive past breathtaking coastal scenery and opulent homes. At The Breakers Mansion, Newport’s most magnificent Gilded Age “summer cottage,” discover the lavish lifestyles of America’s elite on a guided tour. After, explore downtown Newport with free time for a casual lunch. Next, shop rows of heavenly quilting cottons at the favorite local quilt shop before departing for Cape Cod’s Red Jacket Beach Resort, our oceanside home for four nights. B

 

DAY 4 Cape Cod – Hyannis – Sandwich

Visit the John F. Kennedy Memorial in Hyannis before journeying through quaint villages and past historic sea captains’ homes on Old King’s Highway. In Sandwich, marvel at centuries-old homes and the Dexter Grist Mill. Experience the Heritage Museum and Gardens’ treasures, including American folk art and an impressive collection of American automobiles. End the day at The Cape’s beloved quilt boutique, where you can find inspiration for your next project. B, D

 

DAY 5 Cape Cod – Nantucket

Set sail on a high-speed catamaran for enchanting Nantucket Island, taking in its charming cobblestone streets, shingled cottages, and historic shipowners’ houses. Enjoy a narrated scenic tour, explore local shops and galleries, and savor some local seafood delicacies during your free time. Return to the mainland for a leisurely evening on the Cape, perhaps watching a stunning sunset over the ocean. B

 

DAY 6 Cape Cod – Provincetown

Discover the picturesque village of Chatham and Chatham Light, then drive along the stunning Cape Cod National Seashore, taking in the breathtaking ocean views. Explore waterfront galleries and boutiques in Provincetown before a captivating sand dunes tour, where you’ll learn about the area’s unique history as an artist colony. Celebrate your adventure with a cocktail reception and traditional New England lobster dinner at the Farewell Dinner. B, D

 

DAY 7 Cape Cod – Providence – Tour Ends
