Tonight, you’ll join your fellow quilters and your Tour Manager for a kick-off Welcome Meeting, marking the start of a journey filled with delightful experiences, lifelong friendships, and a shared passion for quilting. It’s the beginning of an adventure you won’t forget.

Day 2 Boston – Lowell – Manchester Breakfast, Lunch

Start the day with a nourishing breakfast to fuel your historical day. The journey to Lowell, Massachusetts is a step back into the rich fabric of American textile history. The New England Quilt Museum, housed within historic mill buildings, showcases an impressive collection of 19th-century quilts, an essential stop for any quilter. Next, our journey brings us over the river and through the woods to a charming 200-year-old cottage in New Hampshire, where a sumptuous seasonal lunch at Pickity Place awaits. Spend the afternoon wandering through enchanting gardens infused with myriad fragrances, a perfect retreat for any nature-loving quilter.

Day 3 Manchester – Canterbury – Burlington Breakfast

Sit back and enjoy the serene views of the countryside as we head toward the idyllic Canterbury Shaker Village. Your tour of this unique settlement provides a glimpse into the Shakers’ simple-yet-rewarding lifes tyle, which echoes in their intricate craftwork. Afterward, savor a simple lunch from a local farm-to-table café.  Next, we’ll immerse ourselves in the colorful universe of Quilted Threads, a treasure trove of luscious quilting cottons and paradise for quilting enthusiasts. Later, we retreat to the Green Mountains of Vermont, checking into our downtown Burlington hotel, our home for the next two nights in this beautiful bohemian city.

We journey through Vermont’s quaint villages to the extraordinary Shelburne Museum. A step back in time awaits as you explore antique homes, barns, and shops, each filled with unique needlework, dolls, and artworks. Get ready to be mesmerized by an extensive collection of Early American quilts, a testament to the skill and creativity of quilters of the past. Tonight, soak up the lively atmosphere of downtown Burlington before dining together at one of our favorite locally owned restaurants.

After a hearty breakfast, depart for the picturesque village of Woodstock, Vermont. At your own pace, delve into a delightful exploration, meandering through charming boutiques, quintessential Yankee bookshops, shops offering cozy Vermont flannels, stores showcasing local pottery, and traditional, old-fashioned hardware stores. Don’t miss the opportunity to capture the essence of the village with a snapshot of the historic cedar-shake covered bridge. Our journey continues through the vibrant New England countryside, later arriving on the legendary Maine Coast. As you settle into your hotel, the day’s adventures will seem like a beautiful dream.
