Day 1
Arrive Nashville – Tour Begins
Get ready to enjoy the good life as we kick off our tour in legendary Music City, Nashville, Tennessee. Our downtown hotel is just steps from the honky-tonks and barbeque joints rooted in this famous country music capital. At our evening Welcome Meeting, meet your fellow travel companions and energetic Tour Manager.
Day 2
Nashville
Embark on a panoramic city tour of Nashville, discovering the sights and sounds of famous country music legends. Our local guide shares the history and high notes of landmark locations like historic Riverfront Park, Ryman Auditorium and RCA Studio B. Next, explore the best of country music’s past and present at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Locally known as the “Nashville’s Smithsonian,” the museum’s unrivaled, two-million-item collection preserves the enduring beauty and cultural importance of country music. Your evening is free to explore Nashville’s nightlife at your leisure. B
Day 3
Nashville – Paducah
Prepare to experience the thrill and excitement of the grandaddy of quilt shows as we depart for famous Paducah, Kentucky. Shop ahead of the crowds at the original Hancock’s of Paducah Fabric Store, advertised as the nation’s largest. The cavernous warehouse stocks thousands of bolts of sumptuous fabrics, plus notions, books, trims, patterns … and great “Sale” tables. Later, explore Paducah’s charming downtown before checking into our riverfront hotel, just steps from the quilt show’s main expo center. Tonight, enjoy exclusive sneak preview access to the legendary QuiltWeek Paducah before it opens to the public. B
Day 4
Paducah
Celebrate with the American Quilter’s Society as it officially opens the doors for QuiltWeek! Spend your day admiring hundreds of quilts on display, viewing curated exhibitions and shopping for wearable art, books, craft and sewing supplies, fabrics, buttons, trims, patterns and more at the impressive merchant mall. Tonight, savor a home-cooked supper served with a heaping spoonful of southern hospitality at Patti’s 1880’s Settlement. B, D
Day 5
Paducah
Today, return to the show at leisure with your multiday admission to continue admiring quilts, join a pre-booked class, or explore Quilt City USA, where downtown Paducah shops partake in the town-wide celebration. Join quilters from around the world for trolley rides, sidewalk sales, church bazaars and homemade strawberry shortcake. From pop-up fabric stores to the pie and candy shops, windows throughout this turn-of-the-century town are festively decorated to welcome quilters. B
Day 6
Paducah
Ready for more? The celebration continues at the annual Rotary Club Antique Quilt Show where displays of over 40 antique quilts and specialty vendors are carefully selected for discriminating shoppers. This afternoon, use your included admission to the National Quilt Museum to enjoy viewing their collection of over 600 quilts. Tonight, sample local cuisine at our Jazz Band Farewell Dinner before settling in for a Ricky Tims Special Event Performance. B, D
Day 7
Paducah – Nashville – Tour Ends
Returning to Nashville, visit Opryland Resort’s massive domed conservatories on a guided walking tour through winding, tree-draped pathways, past waterfalls and meandering waterways. After an independent lunch, swap addresses with newfound friends before arriving at the airport to begin your journey home.
