Day 1

Tour begins in Sandy, Utah. Hotel check-in is 3:00 PM. Our Welcome Meeting is scheduled for 7:30 PM.

Day 5

Tour ends in Sandy, UT. Return transportation to Salt Lake City International Airport is included.

Day 1 – 4: Hilton Garden Inn, Sandy, Utah

Experience the majesty of beautiful Salt Lake City while attending the Utah Quilting and Sewing Marketplace.

Day 1

Welcome to Utah

Welcome to Utah and the picturesque region of the Great Salt Lake.  You’ll have time to unpack and relax before meeting your fellow travel companions and friendly Tour Manger at our evening Welcome Meeting.

Day 2

Historic Temple Square

Enjoy the fresh mountain air and beautiful views on our way to HandiQuilter for a private factory tour and trunk show.  Now filled with inspiration and ideas, you’ll delight in the rows of colorful fabrics at Pine Needles quilt shop located in the charming Gardner Village. Stroll the brick-lined paths and discover 22 boutique-style, locally-owned shops including Willow Hill Yarn Company and The Bead Farm.  Later, we depart for Temple Square now brimming with colorful springtime tulips. With the spires of the Mormon Temple as our backdrop, we’ll enjoy the thousands of ornamental plants and blooming flowers that line Temple Square’s walkways . Visit  the Family History Library and tour the Beehive House, once the home of Brigham Young, a leader in the Latter-day Saints movement.  Savor a delicious dinner as you enjoy the breathtaking 10th-floor view of the Mormon Temple and the city beyond. After dinner we stroll through Temple Square  to attend a rehearsal of the  world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir.  B, D

Day 3

Quilt Show!

Attend the Utah Quilting & Sewing Marketplace today and marvel at over 500 exhibited quilts before shopping for notions at the nearly 200 booth vendor mall.  Sharpen your skills at any of the 120 classes that are offered for every skill set. The day is yours to be immersed in the world of quilting.    Tonight you can work on your latest project or share your newest find during our casual Sit & Sew. B

Day 4


Return to the UQSM for more exploring and last minute shopping.  Afternoon brings the excitement of a shop hop in the environs of Salt Lake City. At Quilt Etc., Elaine’s Quilt Block, and Thimbles and Threads, you’ll find an abundance of quilting fabric, notions, kits, and supplies.  Tonight, we gather for a hearty Farewell Dinner in beautiful in downtown Salt Lake City.

Day 5

Fond Farewell

Begin the day visiting the Utah Quilt Guild Museum for a private showing and lecture.  The museum, housed in an old 1880’s hospital is located on the grounds of This Is The Place Heritage Park.  Explore this living history museum and snap one last photo with new found friends before returning to Salt Lake International Airport.
