Spend a week among legendary Appalachian quilters as you discover the region that bears their name and features some of America’s most stunning scenery. Luxury accommodations are right on the doorstep of the area’s top attractions, including George Vanderbilt’s iconic Biltmore Estate, America’s largest privately owned home.

Day 1

 Arrive Nashville – Tour Begins

Prepare for a heap of Southern hospitality as we kick off our tour in historic Nashville. Our hotel is in the heart of downtown, just steps from the honky-tonks and live entertainment that Music City is famed for. At the evening Welcome Meeting, you’ll greet your traveling companions and your friendly Tour Manager.

Day 2

Nashville

Experience the energetic vibe of Music City on a panoramic city tour that follows in the footsteps of country music greats like Dolly Parton. Next, we’ll head to Belle Meade Plantation for a tasty lunch and local wine tasting. After, experience the Old South with a private tour of the plantation and grounds. This afternoon, peruse the Country Music Hall of Fame’s 2 million-item collection before browsing some strumable souvenirs in the overflowing gift shop. Tonight, relax in our hotel’s rooftop pool or savor local barbeque at your leisure. B, L

Day 3

Nashville – Sevierville – Pigeon Forge

We’re off to Pigeon Forge in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. On the way, we’ll stop at the Cherry Pit Quilt Shop for some much-needed retail therapy. After checking in at our hotel, the lavish Dollywood DreamMore Resort, you’ll have time to explore this elegant mountain sanctuary. Following dinner on your own, settle into a rocking chair or cozy up to the fire pit for homemade s’mores before tucking in for the night. B 

Day 4

Pigeon Forge

Next door at Dolly Parton’s Dollywood, explore her tribute to the the mountain heritage, spirit and history of the Great Smoky Mountains.  The theme park’s world-class craftsmen, dining and boutiques (and thrill rides, of course) make this a must-do experience in the Smokies.

Later, settle in for dinner and a show at the famous Dolly Parton’s Stampede, where your meal will be accompanied by unforgettable entertainment created by this country music legend. B, D

Day 5

Pigeon Forge – Asheville

Today, we’ll journey into the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to the bohemian town of Asheville. Visit the historic Grove Arcade as you explore the vibrant downtown. Later, travel the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Folk Art Center, home to the prestigious Southern Highland Craft Guild. Your evening at leisure allows for a stroll to Biltmore Estate’s Antler Village to sample local wines or enjoy a casual dinner. B

Day 6

Asheville

A morning visit to the area’s most beloved quilt shop has you shopping rows of high-quality quilting cottons for your latest project. Your afternoon is spent admiring the opulence of America’s largest home on a self-guided tour of the 250-room Biltmore Estate. Visit the formal and informal gardens designed by acclaimed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. Tonight, celebrate your journey at our customary Farewell Dinner. B, D

Day 7

Asheville – Charlotte – Tour Ends

Traveling to Charlotte, we’ll visit the Billy Graham Library, near the family home of America’s renowned pastor. Share memories and swap addresses with your newfound quilting friends before our transfer to the airport for your journey home. B
