Day 1

Tour begins in Charleston, South Carolina. Arrive at your leisure, hotel check-in is after 3:30 PM. Our Welcome Meeting is scheduled for 7:30 PM.

Day 7

Tour ends in Jacksonville, Florida. Return transportation to Florida's Jacksonville International Airport is included.

Day 1

Charleston

Browse Charleston’s Old Marketplace on your own to find local crafts, and watch Gullah ladies weave sweetgrass baskets as generations have before them. Meet your Tour Manager and traveling companions at tonight’s Welcome Meeting.

Day 2

Charleston

Savor the morning sun on our private city tour showcasing Colonial, antebellum and Victorian homes and intricate wrought-iron fences from an open-air carriage ride through Charleston’s historic streets. With these as inspiration, we head to opening day at the American Quilter’s Society’s newest show: QuiltWeek Charleston. Spend the day admiring hundreds of quilts on display and shopping for antique quilts, wearable art, books, craft and sewing supplies, fabrics, buttons, trims, patterns and more! B

Day 3

Charleston – Savannah

Experience one-of-a-kind Southern heritage on a guided tour of the Charleston Tea Plantation. Next, shop for fabrics at People Places & Quilts where a 19th century hardware store overflows with fabrics, patterns and kits. in the southern town of Summerville famous for their sweet tea.  Later this afternoon we travel to Savannah where we’ll explore the historic City Market, a four-block open-air marketplace.  Shop and dine on your own this evening in this most picturesque of Southern cities. B

Day 4

Savannah

Glimpse Savannah’s sultry past through its antebellum architecture, fountains and leafy squares as we wind our way through the narrow streets on our trolley city tour.  Step inside the Davenport House on a guided tour and learn how this 1820 historic home gave birth to the Historic Savannah Foundation and avoided narrowly demolition. Then explore the city at your leisure before tucking into an old-fashioned family-style supper at Mrs. Wilkes’ Dining Room, a Savannah tradition since 1943. B, D

Day 5

Savannah – St. Simons Islands – Jekyll Island

Begin at Savannah’s oldest quilt store, Sew Much More, where more than 3,500 bolts include batiks, lace, and heirloom fabrics for you to enjoy. Enjoy lunch on your own before our city tour of beautiful St. Simons Island. A warm welcome awaits us at the jewel of Jekyll Island, the Jekyll Island Club Hotel, our home for the next two nights. This National Historic Landmark is adorned with Tiffany’s leaded glass in the Grand Dining Room and perfect for relaxing with a mint julep while enjoying an evening at leisure. B

Day 6

Jekyll Island

After breakfast, embark on the Jekyll Island Tram Ride to learn about the rich history of this island known as Millionaire’s Playground. After a visit to the Georgia Sea Turtle Sanctuary your afternoon at leisure can be filled with some croquet, a beach stroll to gather seashells, or live-oak forests visit for a walk.  Celebrate with your new travel companions at our Jekyll Island Club Farewell Dinner. Day 7

Jekyll Island – Jacksonville

A visit to Cinnamon’s Quilt Shoppe, a Quilt Sampler Top 10 Shop, lets you browse for last minute patterns and notions before  swapping addresses with friends and saying goodbye at Jacksonville’s Airport. B
