Day 1 ARRIVE CHARLESTON – TOUR BEGINS

As you roam freely, admire the handiwork of Gullah women weaving sweetgrass baskets, an art handed down through generations. Later in the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your Tour Manager and fellow travel companions at the Kick-off Welcome Meeting, marking the official start of your unforgettable Southern Charm journey.

Day 2 CHARLESTON – SUMMERVILLE

Wake up to a hearty breakfast, a perfect start for a day filled with discovery. Prepare to delight in a carriage ride through Charleston’s historic gas-lit streets, taking in the stunning views of Colonial and Victorian homes with intricate wrought-iron fences, a scene straight out of a postcard. Next, a heaping spoonful of Southern hospitality awaits in Summerville, the “Birthplace of Sweet Tea.” Here, you’ll indulge your love for quilting at People, Places & Quilts, a haven for fabrics, patterns, and kits housed in a charming 19th-century hardware store. As the day turns into evening, savor a chef inspired meal while relishing waterside views on our sunset dinner cruise along Charleston’s historic waterfront. B, D

Day 3 CHARLESTON – SAVANNAH

Embrace the Southern heritage with a guided tour of the historic Boone Hall Plantation, a living testament to the history and culture of the region. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the mansion and gardens, then journey down the road and prepare to explore America’s only tea plantation, the Charleston Tea Garden, where you’ll dive into the fascinating world of tea production with a Field and Factory Tour. Savor the exquisite flavors during a tea sampling session before traveling to the enchanting city of Savannah, known for its well-preserved architecture and historic squares. Experience the bustling City Market, a vibrant open-air marketplace teeming with unique restaurants and boutiques, offering a perfect opportunity to pick up a souvenir or two. Take the evening to explore at your leisure and perhaps enjoy a meal in one of the most picturesque Southern cities, savoring the flavors of the South. B

Day 4 SAVANNAH

Experience Savannah’s captivating history as you navigate its narrow streets on a narrated trolley tour, an exciting and fun way to explore the city. Marvel at the city’s antebellum architecture, leafy squares, and ornate fountains, all contributing to the city’s distinct character. A guided tour of the Davenport House features a home that once narrowly avoided demolition and played a key role in the birth of the Historic Savannah Foundation. Spend the rest of your day wandering through Savannah’s 22 historic squares before treating yourself to a delicious old-fashioned Southern supper at a locally loved restaurant, a perfect way to end a day of historical exploration. Day 5 SAVANNAH – ST. SIMONS ISLAND – JEKYLL ISLAND

Begin your day at Sew Much More, Savannah’s oldest quilt store, a paradise for anyone with an appreciation for craft and design. With more than 3,500 bolts, including batiks, lace, and heirloom fabrics, you’ll be spoilt for choice. After enjoying lunch at your own pace, you’ll embark on a city tour of the stunning St. Simons Island, offering scenic views and a tranquil atmosphere. As the day winds down, a warm welcome awaits you at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel & Resort, your home for the next two nights. This National Historic Landmark, featuring Tiffany’s leaded glass in the Grand Dining Room, provides the perfect setting for an evening of relaxation, perhaps with a mint julep in hand, epitomizing the Southern way of life. Day 6 JEKYLL ISLAND

After breakfast, set off on the Jekyll Island Tram Ride to delve into the rich history of this island, once known as a Millionaires’ Playground. Visit the Georgia Sea Turtle Sanctuary for a heartwarming encounter with these beautiful creatures. Spend your afternoon indulging in leisurely activities, whether it be a game of croquet, a beach stroll to gather seashells, or a peaceful walk through the live-oak forests. The highlight of your day will be the Jekyll Island Club Farewell Dinner, a celebration of the incredible experiences shared, and friendships formed during this unforgettable vacation. B, D

Day 7 JEKYLL ISLAND – JACKSONVILLE – TOUR ENDS

Make the most of your final day by visiting Cinnamon’s Quilt Shoppe, a renowned Quilt Sampler Top 10 Shop. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to browse for last-minute patterns and notions, perhaps finding the perfect memento of your Southern Charm journey. As you swap addresses with new friends and say your goodbyes at Jacksonville’s Airport, reflect on the unforgettable moments of your trip and look forward to your next adventure, wherever it may take you.
