Enjoy breakfast before heading to QuiltCon for a full-day admission to the Modern Quilt Guild’s annual show. Partake in QuiltCon’s broad selection of classes, demos, and workshops, immersing yourself in the world of modern quilting, learning new techniques, and discovering the latest trends. Admire the creative exhibitions and contests, and browse the wares of the local vendors. QuiltCon is a modern quilter’s paradise. Tonight, relax in our hotel’s local lounge, or tuck-in early and be well rested for tomorrows departure.
After breakfast, experience the art and architecture of bells at Cosanti. Next, travel north witnessing breathtaking view of the Arizona desert, and cactus the grow 30 feet high. Take a break for lunch at in Cottonwood, a delightful spot filled with hometown shops and eateries. Next, shop for luscious quilting cottons at Quilters Quarters, where their vast selection includes unique Southwest-themed prints and patterns. Later, visit the stunning Chapel of the Holy Cross built on Coconino National Forest land. After, travel to Flagstaff and check in at our downtown hotel and home for one night.

Next, our journey along the Purple Heart Trail brings us to Painted Desert Quilts, a treasure trove of Southwestern quilting fabrics, kits, and patterns. Later, explore exploring Ortega Indian City Arts for handcrafted souvenirs and local, Native American goods before learning about native geology at the El Malpais National Monument Visitor Center .Tonight, arrive in Albuquerque and our downtown hotel for the remainder of the tour.
