Making A Reservation
A $200.00 deposit per person guarantees your reservation. Reservations may be made securely on our website or you may call us to reserve by phone. County Heritage Tours accepts all major credit cards. You may alternatively mail a check deposit. Following receipt of your deposit, you will receive a Reservation Confirmation via email with all the information necessary to schedule your arrival and departure. All balances are due 100 days prior to the tour departure date. Following receipt of the final balance and 4 weeks prior to tour departure, you will receive the final Pre-Departure travel information.
Solo Travelers Welcome – Guaranteed Share Program
If you want to share a room to save money or for companionship, choose our Guaranteed Share Program and we’ll arrange a roommate for you. If we can’t find you a roommate, we guarantee you’ll travel in a single room, at no additional cost.
Hotel Accommodations
When traveling with Country Heritage Tours you’ll enjoy premium accommodations that reflect the countryside are we are visiting. Some hotels are noted for their ambiance, and others are celebrated landmarks. Wherever we stay, we are always committed to assuring the comfort of each and every guest.
Dining
You’ll appreciate our extra care in meal planning. We’ll provide some meals to enjoy with your group, as well as opportunities to sample local fare on your own. Because food reflects culture, we often feature regional specialties. We regret that we are unable to provide special meals for those with dietary restrictions.

Because our guests share a common interest in quilting, you’ll immediately feel as if you are traveling with friends. We start every tour with a Welcome Meeting, and schedule informal get-togethers that make our tours extra special and fun. You’ll find our tours are not only filled with special people, but special events too. Our objective is to make your vacation memorable and fun.

One of the main reasons you visit a destination is to see the sights. Seeing a destination is fine, but actually experiencing its culture is the ultimate joy. With Country Heritage Tours, Inc. you’ll enjoy special events that make your vacation fun and memorable. Our journeys often include off-the-beaten-path places where authentic crafts wait to be discovered.
Motor Coach Information
Travel on all Country Heritage Tours vacations is by luxury scenic motor coach. All coaches are air-conditioned and are equipped with reclining seats, reading lights, power outlets ,restroom and WiFi if available. For your convenience, travel days include rest stops and meal stops. A seat rotation policy is followed to allow every traveler an equal opportunity for viewing the sights.
Baggage
On tours where baggage handling is included, you may bring one large suitcase, as well as a small carry-on bag that must fit under your seat. For additional luggage, a fee will be assessed per piece to cover bell-persons’ tips and hotel charges.
Getting to Our Starting Point
Because our tours originate in different cities throughout the world, transportation to the originating city and starting hotel is not included in the tour price unless otherwise stated.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is available to cover trip cancellation or interruption, travel delay, accident, baggage, and more. Information regarding travel insurance will be included with your Reservation Confirmation and Pre-Departure Documents.
Hotel Transfers
Because tour members frequently arrive at different time and sometimes on different days, transportation to the starting hotel is not included unless otherwise stated. We will provide you with transfer options which will be included with your pre-departure documents.
Pre-departure Travel Information
We’ll send you information in advance to help you plan a perfect vacation. We’ll let you know what kind of weather to expect, what clothes to pack, and how much to budget for meals and gratuities not included in the tour. We’ll also send you information about special events, a list of hotels to leave with family or friends, a detailed itinerary, and transfer information for our starting and ending hotels.
Cultural Travel
Travel takes people into new and unusual situations. Part of the joy of travel is experiencing the diversity of our world. In many areas of the country and world, ways of life, points of view, personal values, and patterns of conduct are vastly different from what you may be used to. On a Country Heritage Tour, you no longer be a tourist, you’ll become a traveler.
Active Tours
Our tours are active tours. If you enjoy walking, you will enjoy a Country Heritage Tours vacation. All tour participants should be in good health and comfortable with a moderate to advanced amount of walking. Guests who require physical assistance should be accompanied by a helper, who will be responsible for providing assistance throughout the journey.
Not Included
The tour price does not include transportation to our starting city, personal items such as additional food or beverage orders, room service, valet or laundry service, meals not listed as “included,” phone access charges, or tipping for personal services not part of the tours included features.
Smoking Policy
We maintain a no smoking policy in all hotels and onboard the motor coach.
Gratuities
Gratuities are included for all bellpersons, housekeeping, and wait staff who serve you as part of the tour itinerary. The traditional end-of-trip gratuities to your Tour Manager(s) and motor coach driver are not included. If you feel your Tour Manager(s) or driver helped you to enjoy your Country Heritage Tours experience, you can thank them personally with a gratuity at the conclusion of the tour.
CANCELLATION POLICY
RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS & CANCELLATION FEES
If a Reservation Cancellation is received by Country Heritage Tours prior to the final payment due date, your non-refundable deposit will be retained. All cancellations must be received in writing at our Amherst N.H. office.
STANDARD CANCELLATION FEES
The following cancellation fess are applicable to all Country Heritage Tours trips.
- 101 days or more prior to departure: Non-refundable deposit will be retained
- 100 – 46 days prior to departure: 30% of tour price will be retained
- 45 – 16 days prior to departure: 50% of tour price will be retained
- 15 – 0 days prior to departure: 100% of tour price will be retained
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is not included in the tour price?The tour price does not include transportation to our starting city, hotel transfers, customary end of trip gratuities for your Tour Director, driver, local guides, meals not listed as included, phone access charges, and any incidental charges. Can Country Heritage Tours book additional hotel nights for me? If you wish to arrive before our tour starts or stay after our tour concludes, you will be personally responsible for making hotel arrangements. Do I need a passport? You will require a passport valid for six months past your tour date for trips outside your country of citizenship. Do you rotate seats on tours? Seats are rotated onboard the motor coach for all Country Heritage Tours trips under the direction of the Tour Manager. Unfortunately exceptions cannot be made. Where do I meet my Tour Manager? Your tour begins at the starting hotel on the first night at our Welcome Meeting. You will meet your Tour Manager who will provide details relating to your tour. The hotel address and phone number will be included with your documents. Are hotel transfers included? Because tour members frequently arrive at different times and on different days, transportation to the hotel, which serves as our starting point, is not included unless otherwise stated. Information on public limousine and taxi service will be included with your final documents. Do you accommodate special diets? We regret that we are unable to provide special meals for those with dietary restrictions. How many pieces of luggage can I bring? On tours where baggage handling is included, you may bring one large suitcase, as well as one small carry-on bag (no wheels please) that must fit under your seat. For extra luggage an additional fee will be assessed to cover bell person’s tips and hotel charges. There is no charge for carry-on luggage for which you will be responsible. Are triple accommodations available?We regret that triple accommodations are not available on Country Heritage Tours trips. Do you offer a group discount?Group discounts are available. Please call our office for additional information. Are gratuities included? Gratuities are included for all bell persons and wait staff who serve you as part of the tour itinerary. Gratuities for step-on guides in individual cities can be offered at time of service. The traditional end-of-trip gratuities to your Tour Manager(s) and motor coach driver are not included. If you feel your Tour Director or driver helped you enjoy your Country Heritage tour, we suggest you enclose a gratuity in an envelope and present it individually at the end of the tour. What is your smoking policy? Country Heritage Tours motor coaches maintain a no smoking policy. How can I be best prepared for the physical requirements on a Country Heritage tour? Physical requirements vary by itinerary. Some of the most unique sightseeing can mean accessing locations that restrict motor coaches, especially in historic areas. For your comfort, we recommend packing walking shoes so you fully enjoy every aspect of your vacation. Do I need to bring my own hairdryer? Most of our hotels have hairdryers in the room. Do you offer trip insurance? Travel insurance is available to cover trip cancellation, accident, illness and baggage. Information regarding travel insurance will be included with your confirmation letter.
