Day 1 Welcome to Albuquerque

Day 1 – Welcome to Albuquerque
Your Southwestern adventure begins in Albuquerque, where wide desert skies and warm New Mexico hospitality set the stage for an unforgettable week. This evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a welcome meeting where introductions are made, stories begin to flow, and the excitement of the days ahead fills the room. Soon you’ll be sharing this journey with a wonderful circle of quilters and adventurers who appreciate creativity, color, and discovery as much as you do.

Day 2 Santa Fe Artistry & Quilting Breakfast

Day 2 – Santa Fe Artistry & Quilting Inspiration
Today we travel north to the enchanting city of Santa Fe, a place where art, history, and color seem to live in every adobe wall and winding street. Our morning begins with a visit to the renowned Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, where the spirit of the Southwest comes alive through bold shapes, desert landscapes, and luminous color palettes that feel surprisingly quilt-like in their composition.

Afterward, enjoy time to explore Santa Fe’s historic Plaza and charming Old Town streets, filled with galleries, artisan shops, and inviting cafés. The afternoon brings a special treat for quilters with a stop at Santa Fe Quilting, a beloved local shop brimming with fabric treasures, unique patterns, and inspiration rooted in Southwestern style. By late afternoon we settle into our Santa Fe hotel, where the evening is yours to savor—perhaps with a stroll through town and a delicious New Mexican dinner.

Day 3 Discover Santa Fe Breakfast

Day 3 – A Day to Discover Santa Fe
Today is yours to experience Santa Fe at your own pace. You might wander through the historic Plaza, explore the city’s famous Canyon Road art district, or visit the vibrant local markets and galleries. Santa Fe is a city of creativity, and everywhere you turn you’ll find inspiration in the colors of pottery, textiles, and desert landscapes.

Take time to relax at a café, browse artisan shops, or simply soak in the atmosphere of one of the most charming cities in the American Southwest. Whether you spend the day exploring museums, discovering handmade treasures, or enjoying quiet moments of reflection, Santa Fe offers endless inspiration for creative minds.

Day 4 The High Road to Chimayo Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4 – The High Road to Chimayó
Today we travel along one of New Mexico’s most scenic and historic routes to the village of Chimayó. Nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Chimayó is known for its rich cultural traditions, weaving heritage, and spiritual history. Along the way, the landscape unfolds in layers of desert color—soft sage, warm clay, and brilliant blue sky.

A festive Southwestern lunch awaits, complete with flavorful local cuisine and refreshing margaritas. It’s the perfect moment to relax, laugh, and enjoy the camaraderie of the group. By late afternoon we return to Santa Fe with time to enjoy another relaxing evening in this magical city.

Day 5 Mountain Views & Albuquerque Culture Breakfast

Day 5 – Mountain Views & Albuquerque Culture
This morning we journey back toward Albuquerque, beginning with a breathtaking ride aboard the Sandia Peak Tramway. As the tram glides silently above deep canyons and rugged cliffs, sweeping views of the Rio Grande Valley stretch far into the horizon. It’s a spectacular way to experience the dramatic beauty of New Mexico’s landscape.

Back in Albuquerque, we explore the Albuquerque Balloon Museum, where fascinating exhibits celebrate the history and wonder of ballooning. Afterward, enjoy time in Albuquerque’s historic Old Town, where colorful plazas, artisan boutiques, and local restaurants create a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

Our day continues with a visit to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, where exhibits and art share the rich heritage of New Mexico’s Pueblo communities. This evening we settle into our Albuquerque hotel as anticipation builds for tomorrow’s unforgettable event.

Day 6 Balloon Fiesta Breakfast, Dinner

Day 6 – The Magic of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta
Before dawn, we make our way to Balloon Fiesta Park for one of the most spectacular sights in the world. Brilliant colors, whimsical shapes, and the quiet whoosh of burners create a moment that feels almost magical.

From the comfort of the Chasers’ Club viewing area, enjoy breakfast while watching the sky fill with color. After the morning festivities, we return to the hotel for time to relax and refresh.

Later, we return to Fiesta Park for an entirely different experience. As evening falls, the balloons glow like giant lanterns during the breathtaking Balloon Glow. With dinner included and the night sky illuminated by brilliant colors, it’s an unforgettable celebration of light, joy, and wonder.
