Welcome to Colorado! After checking into our downtown hotel, join your Tour Manager and fellow travelers for a friendly Kick-off Welcome Meeting. It’s the perfect chance to share your excitement, meet new quilting companions, and start stitching together memories from day one.

Day 2 Golden Quilts & Mountain Views Breakfast

Today we venture to historic Golden, a charming town nestled against the foothills of the Rockies. Our first stop is the inspiring Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum, where antique treasures and modern masterpieces are beautifully displayed. Then it’s on to Golden Quilt Co., a cozy local favorite brimming with vibrant bolts, cheerful notions, and just the right pattern you didn’t know you needed. You’ll have free time to explore downtown Golden and grab lunch at a café or two. Before heading back to Denver, we’ll pop into Galerie Quilt, a gem of a shop offering finished quilts and creative gifts.

Day 3 Over the Mountains to Moab Breakfast

After breakfast, we set off for Moab, journeying across the dramatic landscape of the Rocky Mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop in Glenwood Springs for a scenic break and a bit of small-town charm—perfect for stretching your legs and browsing unique shops. We’ll also swing by a couple of beloved regional quilt shops where the fabric shelves are full and the welcome is warm. Highlights include soaring peaks, alpine tunnels, and awe-inspiring scenery as we cross the Continental Divide. Arrive in Moab, check into our downtown hotel, and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

This morning, take in the natural wonders of Arches National Park on a guided tour—see the famous Delicate Arch, Balanced Rock, and otherworldly formations that make this place unforgettable. Next, we’re off to Canyonland Quilts, a beautifully stocked shop where quilters of all kinds will find inspiration and temptation in equal measure. Return to town for a relaxing afternoon—wander the shops of downtown Moab, grab a bite, or put your feet up. Tonight, enjoy a hearty, homemade cowboy dinner before embarking on a nighttime float on the Colorado River, where canyon walls light up under the stars—an enchanting finale to a magical day.

Day 5 All Aboard the Rocky Mountaineer Breakfast, Lunch

This morning, board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer for a two-day rail journey through the rugged beauty of the Southwest. Settle into your comfy seat, enjoy a chef-prepared breakfast, and watch the cinematic views unfold outside your panoramic windows. With storytelling from your onboard host, fine dining, and sweeping scenery, the train ride is an experience in itself. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Glenwood Springs, where we overnight in this charming mountain town.

Day 6 Rails to Denver Breakfast, Dinner

Another day of rail romance! Enjoy breakfast and lunch aboard as we continue through breathtaking canyons, red rock deserts, and snow-capped peaks. Swap stories with fellow travelers, snap a few more photos, and soak up every last moment. By evening, we arrive at Union Station in Denver and transfer to our hotel. The night is yours to explore, relax, or dream up your next quilt

Day 7 Colorado Springs & Final Stitches Breakfast, Dinner

After a lovely breakfast, we head south to Colorado Springs, where the rock formations of Garden of the Gods provide a stunning backdrop to the day. Then, it’s time to indulge your inner fabric collector with visits to two of the state’s best-loved quilt shops: Ruth’s Stitchery and High Country Quilts. With patterns, threads, and bolts galore, there’s no better place to round out your stash. We return to Denver for a celebratory Farewell Dinner, full of laughter, gratitude, and a few show-and-tells from your fabric finds.
