Day 1 Arrive Boston – Tour Begins

Welcome to New England, where every crisp breeze and golden leaf signals the beginning of something wonderful. As you arrive in Boston, you’ll be greeted by a vibrant city steeped in American history and surrounded by the warm hues of fall foliage. This is where our journey begins. This evening, gather with your Tour Manager and fellow quilters for a Kick-off Welcome Meeting. It’s the perfect way to begin our adventure—connecting over a shared love of quilting, travel, and the joy of discovery.

Day 2 Boston – Manchester Breakfast, Lunch

Our journey takes us out of the city and into the heart of New England’s countryside. The rolling hills and quiet roads of New Hampshire are framed by turning leaves and cozy farmsteads. We’ll stop at Lull Farm, a family-run haven known for its apple orchards, sunflower fields, and beloved cider donuts. Sip fresh cider and learn how this charming farm keeps traditions alive in every harvest. Then, it’s off to Pickity Place—a woodland cottage that inspired the illustrations in Little Red Riding Hood. Here, enjoy a seasonal farm-to-table lunch served in the storybook surroundings of herb gardens and rustic décor. We end the day in Manchester, where our downtown hotel offers easy access to shops and restaurants.

Day 3 Manchester – Canterbury – Burlington Breakfast

After breakfast, step back in time at Canterbury Shaker Village, a living museum that celebrates a peaceful, purposeful way of life. Wander through historic buildings, stroll the gardens, and admire the craftsmanship and simplicity of Shaker design on our expert guided tour. Next, visit Night Owl Quilting Studio, a tucked-away treasure full of vibrant fabrics, creative patterns, and warm hospitality. You’ll have time to shop, chat, and be inspired before we hit the road for Vermont. As we travel through the Green Mountains, take in the breathtaking views of fiery maples and picture-perfect valleys. Tonight, we arrive in beautiful Burlington, nestled on the shores of Lake Champlain.

Day 4 Burlington – Stowe Breakfast, Dinner

This morning, dive into one of the region’s most beloved institutions: the Shelburne Museum. Home to an extraordinary collection of Americana, decorative arts, and historic buildings—including an entire steamboat—it also houses a renowned private collection of Early American quilts. After soaking in this patchwork of history, you’ll have time to explore downtown Burlington at your own pace. Meander along Church Street, enjoy lakeside views, or sip a latte in one of the cozy cafés. Later, we’ll travel to nearby Stowe for an alpine-inspired evening at the Trapp Family Lodge. Tuck into a hearty Austrian dinner as the mountains glow with autumn color.

Day 5 Burlington – Woodstock – Ogunquit Breakfast

We wave goodbye to Vermont and journey south through Montpelier, Vermont’s charming capital. At Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks, learn how sweet syrup is made from tree to table, and sample a treat or two. Then, it’s on to Woodstock—a quintessential New England village with covered bridges, Colonial architecture, and boutiques perfect for souvenir shopping. This afternoon, we cross over the dramatic Quechee Gorge and head toward the coast. By day’s end, we arrive in Ogunquit, Maine, where the sea meets storybook charm.

Day 6 Ogunquit – Kennebunkport Breakfast, Dinner

Start your day by wandering through Ogunquit’s quaint streets and coastal paths. Take in the scent of salt air and beach roses, browse local galleries, or enjoy a coffee by the sea. Then, we’re off to Kennebunkport—famous for its seafaring heritage and lobster rolls. After lunch downtown, enjoy a scenic drive along the Maine coast. We’ll stop at Nubble Lighthouse for a classic photo op, then return to Ogunquit. Tonight, we’ll celebrate our week together with a festive Farewell Dinner at Barnacle Billy’s—where laughter and great memories are always on the menu.

Our final day takes us back to Boston for a fond farewell. Enjoy a panoramic city tour featuring historic highlights like the Freedom Trail, Old State House, and Boston Common.
