Welcome to Indiana’s quilt country! Arrive in Elkhart and settle into your hotel before meeting your Tour Manager and fellow quilting companions at this evening’s Welcome Meeting. As excitement builds for the journey ahead, take time to explore the surrounding area and admire the public art installations that lend creative charm to this vibrant Midwestern city.

Day 2 Shipshewana Breakfast, Lunch

Today, discover the heart of Amish Country as you journey to Shipshewana for a day stitched with shopping, tradition, and inspiration. Browse bolts of beautiful quilting cottons and supplies at The Cotton Corner, then shop handmade Amish wares at Yoder’s Department Store. Continue to beloved Lolly’s Fabrics, where colorful displays and endless inspiration await. Enjoy a special Amish quilt trunk show before gathering with a Plain family for a traditional Amish wedding feast luncheon complete with homemade pie for dessert.

 

 

Day 3 Elkhart – Shipshewana – Grand Rapids Breakfast

Travel Indiana’s scenic backroads today as you admire the region’s famous Quilt Gardens—living works of art blooming in brilliant color throughout Amish Country. Learn how these intricate floral displays are designed and maintained by dedicated local volunteers, and capture photos of your favorite patterns along the way. Later, continue north to Grand Rapids and check into your downtown all-suite hotel. This evening, relax and unwind at the hotel’s evening reception.

Day 4 Grand Rapids & AQS QuiltWeek Breakfast

Prepare for a day of quilting inspiration at the American Quilter’s Society QuiltWeek Grand Rapids. Marvel at hundreds of extraord1inary quilts ranging from timeless traditional masterpieces to innovative contemporary works. Browse competition galleries, special exhibits, and historic textile displays from around the world, then shop the expansive Merchant Mall for fabrics, notions, patterns, machines, and every quilting treasure imaginable. This evening is yours to continue exploring or enjoy Grand Rapids’ vibrant dining scene.

Day 5 Grand Rapids – Mackinac Island Breakfast

Journey north through Michigan’s scenic landscapes toward storybook Mackinac Island. En route, stop in charming Petoskey for free time to enjoy lunch and explore its delightful boutiques and cafés. Then continue to Mackinac City, where you’ll board the ferry to the enchanting “Jewel of the Great Lakes.” Upon arrival, step into another era as horse-drawn carriages whisk you through town past Victorian architecture, waterfront vistas, and the iconic Grand Hotel.
