Spend a week among the legendary Appalachian quilters as you travel the backroads and panoramic drives of the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains. Stay and dine at both Dollywood’s DreamMore and the iconic Biltmore Estate.

Day 1


Prepare for a heap of Southern hospitality as we begin our tour in historic Nashville. Our hotel is located in the heart of downtown,  just steps away from the honky-tonks and live music that Music City is famed for. At the evening Welcome Meeting, you’ll greet your traveling companions and your friendly Tour Manager.

Day 2


Catch the energetic vibe of Music City as we take a scenic tour that follows in the footsteps of country music greats like Dolly Parton. Next we’ll head to Belle Meade Plantation for a farm-to-fork lunch and a local wine tasting. Experience the Old South with a private tour of the plantation. Explore Country Music Hall of Fame’s two million-item collection or relax at our hotel’s  rooftop pool with your afternoon at leisure. Tonight, get ready for some foot-stomping fun at and live country music at the famous Ryman Auditorium. B, L

Day 3

Nashville – Sevierville – Pigeon Forge

We’re off to Pigeon Forge in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. On the way we’ll stop at the Cherry Pit Quilt Shop.  After we check into our hotel, the luxurious Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort, you’ll have time to explore this elegant mountain sanctuary. Enjoy dinner and a show at the famous Dolly Parton’s Stampede  where your meal will be accompanied by unforgettable entertainment that tells the story of this famous country music legend. B, D

Day 4

Pigeon Forge

Join fellow quilters at A Mountain Quiltfest, one of the region’s leading quilting events. You’ll see hundreds of quilts, each vying to be named the best of show.  Spend the whole day at Quiltfest or take the afternoon for other adventures. Settle into a rocking chair and enjoy the postcard-ready views of a Smoky Mountain sunset on your evening at leisure.  B

Day 5

Pigeon Forge – Asheville

Today we head into the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to the bohemian town of Asheville. Visit the historic Grove Arcade or enjoy a savory al fresco lunch while exploring downtown. Travel the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Folk Art Center, home to the prestigious Southern Highland Craft Guild. Your evening at leisure allows for a stroll to Biltmore Estate’s Antler Village, offering delicious options for dinner. B

Day 6


A morning visit to Asheville Cotton Company has you shopping rows of high-quality quilting cottons for your latest project. Your afternoon is spent exploring the opulence of America’s largest home on a self-guided tour of the 250-room Biltmore Estate. Visit the formal and informal gardens designed by the renowned Frederick Law Olmsted. The day ends with an elegant Farewell Dinner on the Estate grounds. B, D

Day 7

Asheville – Charlotte

Traveling to Charlotte, we visit the Billy Graham Library, near the family home of America’s famous pastor. Share memories and addresses with your newfound quilting friends before our transfer to the airport. B
